What is Coaching?
International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential."
Coaching facilitates purposeful change. It creates a space for clients to focus on what is important to them. With clarity clients can harness their energy in a focused and effective way. The coach supports the clients as they move toward their important goals.
The coaching conversation is grounded in openness, respect, compassion, and commitment to the client's strength and greatness. Even when the client may not see it.
Clients come to coaching with a vision of what they want to create and/or shift in their life.
They are looking for change or have important goals to reach. Each person's motivation may be different. Some people want more balance between work and home, others more impact in a particular area of their life. They may want more joy, more fun, more impact on the world. Others may want less stress, less pressure and less frustration.
People come to coaching to be more effective and fulfilled.
